Approximately 7% of all people are gay. Since they have two parents, 14% have a gay child. Since each gay has 4 grandparents, that's another 28%. Added up it's 49%. Now ask yourself, since almost 1 out of every 2 of these people have a gay family member, how do you think they will feel when that person finally comes out of the closet and asks why their family voted to discriminate against them? It's a harsh reality that many people either never considered on election day or were too self involved in their religious bigotry to care.

Written by Paul Komarek Californian's made history on November 4, 2008 by throwing the civil rights movement back forty years and the animal rights movement forward forty years.
