By Paul Prada In an effort to strip rights from a minority group and effectively write discrimination into California's state Constitution, anti-gay groups, including many churches, dumped millions of dollars into passing Proposition 8. Prop 8 amends the State Constitution by declaring that marriage within the State of California will only be recognized between a man and a woman.
