Today, civil rights groups acted quickly to challenge California’s Proposition 8, the proposition that discriminates against minorities by stripping fundamental rights from homosexual Californians. The civil rights groups have asked the California Supreme Court to strike down the proposition on the basis that it violates the State’s Constitution’s current wording which provides equal protection for minority groups.
